The Core is equipped with 12 MacPro/iMacPro computers, each with sufficient RAM and processing cores for local analyses using mostly free, open-source softwares written in python, R, java, and perl and for data visualization and downstream analyses.  The Core is also a heavy user of Tulane's HPC, code name Cypress, which facilitates ultra-fast processing of standard and large data sets.  Four Synology network access storage systems provide redundant storage of raw and processed data files.  We use Globus for efficient, secure, reliable data transfer.

The Core frequently processes data generated in the Tulane University NextGen Sequencing Core and from other commercial sequencing facilities.
